Job Description
I am recruiting a PR Manager for a wonderful luxury watch brand. You will be working closely with the Marketing Manager, implement the brand's communication strategy across all platforms within the local market (UK & Ireland), to include - product, brand awareness and customer acquisition, delivering tactical plans that will boost sales
Main Responsibilities will include:
- Develop an internal (team and London boutique) and external (press, retailers) communication strategy, focusing on key messaging, product and partnership events
- Create and deliver a yearly programme of PR events linked to key sponsorships that would successfully support the brand's key messaging
- Working with HQ, ensure clear messaging and quality throughout in-house collateral and external communications produced
- Ensure internal team are kept abreast of best practices and the latest communications
- Maintain press clippings folders for archive, updating on a regular basis
- Compilation and presentation of monthly activity reports for the brands teams and relevant HQ
- Bi-annual statistical analysis of all editorial results for review, feedback and to set future objectives
- Identify and facilitate new joint venture and partnership PR opportunities that are relevant for the UK/Irish market
- Ensure PR budgets are managed carefully and in line with the brand requirements
- Strengthen relationships for the brand with the key media, with daily communication and regular meetings
- Respond to all PR enquiries quickly and efficiently
- Act as an ambassador attending all necessary external events and ensuring first point of contact for all press enquiries
- Be proactive, keeping relevant press/media aware of new developments at all times
- Maximise editorial coverage through special stories - feature pieces and profile stories for the brands products, ambassadors, brand partners or friends of brand
- Be aware of all product placement opportunities across all key media titles and platforms
- Organise press trips, accompany journalists (on UK, Ireland and selected international trips) to ensure coverage is maximized in the UK
- Invite, host and supervise press at UK and Irish brand events and sponsorships
- Develop and manage influencer/celebrity endorsement for the brands in the UK on an informal level
- Prepare press packs supplied by HQ and distribute accordingly
- Write press releases for UK events and launches
- Create and maintain close relationships with internal departments at HQ
- English text proof reading for HQ
- Attend product/press briefings at HQ whenever necessary
- Attend the Sales Salon and conduct press appointments showcasing new products
Person Specification
- Experience of working with PR for luxury brands (in-house or agency)
- Degree level education with superb writing skills
- Exceptional communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Strength of character and calm under pressure
- Capacity to multitask, be proactive and find solutions
- Existing relationships with both press and VIPs
- Knowledge of digital and social media PR
- Team player with proven ability to build and maintain relationships
- Driven, focused and willing to go the extra mile
- Fluent in English, French an advantage but not essential
