Job Description

We are currently recruiting an Operations Manager role to work for the leading and loved vintage retailer in London. Reporting into the founder an exciting opportunity to plan, direct and coordinate the operations of the business. Out in the field and covering Store Managers, the Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring and improving the performance, productivity, and efficiency for 3 stores across central London.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinate, manage and monitor the stores
  • Plan effective strategies for the financial wellbeing of the company.
  • Using best practices to improve processes and policies. Monitor adherence to rules, regulations, and procedures.
  • Organise recruitment and placement of required staff. Establish organisational structures. Delegate tasks and accountability's. Establish work schedules. Supervise staff. Monitor and evaluate performance.
  • Monitor, manage and improve the efficiency of support services such as IT, HR, Accounts and Finance. Facilitate coordination and communication between support functions.
  • Manage customer support. Plan and support sales and marketing activities.
  • Liaise directly with the Managing Director and assist in the development of strategic plans for operational activity.
  • Implement and manage operational plans

Person Specifications:

  • In-depth understanding of the market to maintain competitor awareness
  • Highly organised
  • Strong understanding of visual merchandising and eye for detail
  • Experience coaching, developing, and mentoring a retail team.
  • Ability to react quickly to changing situations and delivering at pace.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • A hands-on approach and multi-tasking skills
  • A passion for Vintage product
