Job Description
Our client is a market leading menswear jersey supplier looking for a strong menswear jersey designer to come on board and support the growth of the company.
This person must already be an established menswear jersey designer and preferably would have worked on the supplier side.
Designing across supermarkets, high street retailers and etailers, you must have a very commercial yet trend driven portfolio. In this role you will be part of an established team of Designers and report reporting into the Director.
Main Duties and responsibilities will include:
- Identify latest & next seasonal trends and ideas, formulating mood boards, design boards & colour trend boards
- Ability to create bestselling commercial jersey ranges
- Liaise with overseas factories daily and to produce detailed design sheets for sampling
- Responsible for development of styles in accordance with the business and the customer requirements
- Manage sampling development of critical path
- Ability to create bestselling commercial jersey ranges
- Required to work in a fast-paced environment, high volume design/development
Person Specifications:
- Previous supplier or retail experience within jersey knitwear with a strong commercial eye
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Highly competent Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop skills
- Passionate about design
- Highly organised and able to work to tight deadlines
- Attention to detail and highly technical
