Job Description

Our client is an internationally recognised industry luxury leading brand, they are looking for a Marketing Manager to join their London Office. The Marketing Manager will be responsible for the planning and management of the promotional calendar and all associated advertising, events and merchandising responsibilities. A background within the watch market would be advantageous

Main Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Compiling and providing brand and product information and training materials.
  • Develop, manage and deliver on budget advertising, marketing and promotional calendar in line with the brands core values and strategy.
  • Monitor budget and maintain close budget controls.
  • Propose and organise promotions and events.
  • Communicate and manage the use of POS and training material to ensure all retailers adhere to training and display guidelines as set by Headquarters
  • Ensure the retailers within the territory meet the brand's expectations through sales training and merchandising standards.
  • Manage all marketing department administration.
  • Work closely with key accounts to maximise joint advertising opportunities and develop promotional activities.
  • Develop and deliver a training and communication plan and process as well as materials to ensure all relevant internal and external departments receive up to date brand and product info, training and latest advertising and PR information.
  • Analyse the competition and market trends and relate relevant facts to the Brand Manager, field-based team and Marketing Assistant.
  • Prepare reports as requested by the Brand Manager
  • To report and provide general assistance to the Brand Manager, including attending meetings with Key Accounts.

Person Specifications:

  • Strategic
  • Dynamic and fresh thinking
  • Strong relationship builder ( internally & externally)
  • Multi- tasker ( role will cover all marketing aspects including trade marketing at POS)
  • Some experience within the watch trade - trade press etc ( advantageous but not essential)
  • Experience in Brand marketing within the luxury goods market including trade marketing at POS
  • Working at a similar level with budget responsibility in excess of £500k per annum.
  • Some experience within the watch trade - trade press etc ( advantageous but not essential)
  • Ideally candidates will possess marketing/advertising qualifications alongside demonstration of practical experience in completing high level marketing.
  • Have experience in a supervisory/managerial role or demonstrate the necessary qualities.
  • You should have a flexible approach to work and be willing on occasion to stay away from home and make some international trips.
  • Strategic, Dynamic and fresh thinking
  • Knowledge of digital and social marketing
  • Some sales experience would be an advantage but is not essential.
  • E-commerce marketing experience preferable but not essential
  • Fantastic communication skills both written and verbal
  • Highly organised and proactive
