An opportunity has arisen for a trend led ladies knitwear supplier who are looking for fashion forward experienced knitwear designer who can join their existing team.
They are looking for a strong knitwear designer with a commercial outlook who has in depth experience of the UK retail market and is looking for a new and exciting challenge. Experience working with Bangladesh factories is key for this role as well as having the ability to work independently aswell as having a strong technical knowledge and the ability to bring creativity and newness to their ranges in a commercial environment
Main responsibilities will include:
- Strong interpretation of trends into commercial designs
- Gathering & using relevant internal and external information to drive product and range development for the customer
- Following product development through with PD teams
- Constantly developing newness and emerging trends
- Ability to work independently and manage product development overseas
- Ability to present product to clients and conduct customer meetings independently
Personal requirements:
- At least 5 years of Knitwear experience
- An understanding and passion for emerging trends
- Strong CAD skills
- Experience working with Bangladesh
- Ability to influence
- Able to work under own initiative and aswell as part of a team
- Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate confidently at all levels
- Ability to work under pressure and with strong personalities
- Good teamwork and inter-personal skills
