Job description

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Garment Technologist to join a dynamic fashion business, supporting a diverse portfolio of branded accounts. This is an exciting opportunity to play a hands-on role in bringing new collections to market, collaborating closely with designers, manufacturers, brands, and customers. This position offers excellent training and career development, making it ideal for someone with a solid technical background, a sharp eye for detail, and a passion for product innovation.

If you have experience in a similar Junior Garment Technologist or Technical Assistant role and are ready to take the next step in a fast-paced, creative environment, we'd love to hear from you.

This role is based in the London studio 5 days a week.

Main Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Assist senior technologists with the fitting and management of samples, from development through to pre-shipment

  • Measure, check, and record customer fit, sealing, and production samples to ensure accuracy

  • Support in setting up workbooks and graded size specifications in line with fit comments

  • Attend customer fit meetings when required, ensuring garments are approved in line with critical path deadlines

  • Help prepare and manage testing requirements, reviewing test reports and liaising with factories on any failures

  • Track and chase fit and production samples to keep production on schedule

  • Update the production critical path daily in collaboration with merchandisers and technologists

  • Liaise with internal and overseas QC teams to review reports, resolve issues, and approve goods for shipping

Person Specification:

  • Degree in fashion or a related technical subject

  • 2-3 years experience in a garment technology or technical assistant role

  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with proven ability to multitask

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel); PLM experience advantageous

  • A collaborative team player with excellent communication skills and a proactive, detail-oriented approach
