A great opportunity has arisen to work with a successful supplier for several high street retailers. My client is looking for a proactive individual to join their team and learn the ropes as a Junior Fabric Technologist. You will need to have some knowledge or experience of fabric and sustainability, either work experience, an internship or a relevant qualification. You will have an interest in compliance with a strong desire to learn. This role is working on fabric bases across multiproduct.
You will be a confident and good communicator who can interact with customers and internal teams in the UK and factories overseas

Main Responsibilities will include:
- Organized in digital filing and physical files maintenance for all communication for fabrics, queries and approvals.
- Liaising with the sales teams, garment technical team and design team.
- Support critical path and understand impact of changes.
- Ensure clear communications is maintained with key customers technical teams, fabric suppliers ,overseas offices Fabric and Merchandising teams.
- Work closely with mills, factories and overseas offices to ensure all technical data, colour standards and administrative processes are completed.
- Understand each customer Testing requirement for Base and Bulk Fabric, and also confirm Garment Care Codes and labels .
- Assist the Fabric Technologist and tech team.
- Follow ups for Sustainability certifications based on each customers requirements-.
- Develop an understanding of each customers Garment and Trim testing requirements based on their testing Manuals and guide regional teams as and when required.
Person Requirements:
- A relevant qualification or experience and strong interest in Compliance, fabric technology and sustainability.
- Keen to learn and develop.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment .
- Good attention detail and good with data and analysis.
- Confident to interact with customers at retail brands when needed.
- Good communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels
- Flexible approach and a good team player.
- Capable with learning systems and strong on all basic packages such as excel.
