Job Description
My client is a leading supplier of Menswear to many of the leading high street retailers in Germany and are seeking an experienced multi-product Garment Technologist to work predominantly on their menswear ranges. This role is to be based in their head office in Dusseldorf. This is a very exciting opportunity to join a hugely successful business and be apart of their continuously growing team.
Main responsibilities will include:
- Creation of technical documents such as dimension tables and quality specifications
- Optimization of prototypes in terms of quality, workmanship, fit and materials
- Communication with our suppliers
- Quality control
- Implementation of prototype meetings and fittings
- Measurement, control and approval of pre-production samples
- Work very closely with the design, product management and purchasing departments
Person Specification:
- You have professional experience and a completed degree / training as a clothing technician and / or pattern technician
- Experience with men's clothing is desirable but not required
- Good written and spoken English skills
- Computer skills: MS Office, Adobe Illustrator
- Reliability and a sense of responsibility
- Good eye for details, high quality understanding
- Ability to work under pressure and work to key deadlines
- Dynamic, visionary with a passion for detail
- 3D filling experience is benificial although not essential
