Job description

A fantastic new opportunity has come up for an experienced Garment Technologist to join a successful ladies jersey supplier to some of the UK's biggest retailers and supermarkets.
We're looking for someone with solid experience in jerseywear who has worked for a high-volume supplier, ideally handling supermarket accounts and working closely with factories in Bangladesh. You'll be confident managing the full technical process, from fit sessions to production approvals, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where every day is different.
This role is hybrid - 3 days in the office and 2 days from home, offering a great balance between collaboration and flexibility.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Managing garment approvals and advising on all aspects of fit, construction and quality.
  • Attending fit meetings with customers and ensuring comments are clearly communicated to offshore factories.
  • Creating tech packs and detailed size specs for factories.
  • Working closely with design, sampling, merchandising and sales teams, and building great relationships with customer technical teams.
  • Writing accurate, clear fit comments and sending them to overseas factories.
  • Liaising regularly with customers regarding fit feedback, specifications and requirements.
  • Preparing production specifications and ensuring all details are correctly communicated to factories.

Person Specification:

  • Previous experience working across jersey cut and sew within a supplier environment.
  • Strong understanding of working with High Street Multiples and supermarket accounts.
  • Experience liaising with Bangladeshi factories is a must.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
  • A strong grasp of garment construction and production processes.
  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines on the critical path.
  • Confident writing clear, concise comments for factory teams.
