Job Description
Due to continued growth my client is looking for an additional designer to join their busy design team based in Central London and supplying to several well know high street retailers My client is looking for a commercial, trend led Ladies Knitwear Designer with a younger handwriting as you will be working with one of their key accounts.
Experience of working with the Far East and Bangladesh factories is also desirable for this role .
Main responsibilities will include:
- Creating new, commercial, on-trend designs & interpreting latest trends
- Confidently Initiate the Design and Development from concept to production
- Undertake regular Comparative shop reports and fashion trends
- Working closely with suppliers, buyers and technologists to create commercial products
- Ability to work effectively with customer design briefs
- Working with a team of designers
Person requirements:
- Previous knitwear experience in a similar role with a supplier
- Solid Understanding of Pattern Artwork
- Excellent CAD and illustration skills
- Proficient in Photoshop and illustrator
- Able to work in a fast paced environment
- Strong organisation skills
- Excellent presentation skills
- Good written and verbal communication
