Job Description
Our client is a clothing company with offices in India, UAE, Vietnam, Bangladesh and NYC and is one of the biggest suppliers to the Inditex Group. They are actively recruiting a Head of Design for the Men's and Boy's casualwear division to lead and develop the design team in Bangalore India.
As a Design Director, you will be responsible for managing a team of 20 of which there are 5-6 direct reports, Managing their expectations training and being their mentor. You will also be responsible for client expectations, delivering extremely creative and surprising results. You will also lead the creative team in the right direction by managing and supporting them and by providing them with motivational and development feedback.
You will work closely with the Marketing and Sales Director (New York office)
Main responsibilities will include:
- The quality of output for all creative work
- Adopt a ‘hands-on’ approach to help the team with concept development
- Being the brand guardian
- Ensure the right resource is available and that the creative team is involved from the beginning of a project
- Striving for continuous improvement and excellence
- Mentor, develop and coach the team
- Creating an inspiring and positive culture
- Push new ideas forward and adapt directional trends into product
Person specification:
- Previous Menswear experience working across Multi woven and knits product
- Experience Designing for any Menswear brand within the Inditex group preferred
- Capable of working to tight deadlines
- Ability to prioritise and work well under pressure
- Good Interpersonal skills
- The right candidate should have previous experience of leading and managing a creative team,
- Good understanding of design, animation, video/film, print and digital using the following software – Photoshop, Illustrator, In Design, After Effects
