Job Description


A rare opportunity at an iconic NewGen fashion house has arisen, we are looking for a Wholesale & Sales Director available immediately. This is an extremely hands on role that oversees the commercial viability of the brand in regard to marketing as well as product, taking responsibility for overseeing and presenting research findings, market analysis as well as strategic direction and product requirements. Working to grow the revenue across all sales channels in a profitable and sustainable way, you will deliver the revenue targets set. You must have the demonstrated ability to establish and build high-level profitable results as well as recruit, train, manage, lead and retain the sales team. They are look for a brand-centric individual with experience of working at this level for fashion brand

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Drive business development and expansion strategies to strengthen the company's market position
  • Ensure Sales Plans are set and adhered to by all markets and channels, and that Sales Plan is consistent with overall company Business Plan.
  • Evaluate and execute new business opportunities while working with key internal stakeholders (e.g. marketing, creative, finance, etc.).
  • Plan, implement, develop and control sales short and long term strategy in order to achieve company targets for retention, growth, and profitability
  • Work with Creative Director to offer strategic guidance to achieve desired results in a product (range, pricing, quality of make), while ensuring that timelines and budgets are met.
  • Provide constant feedback and advice to the Design team regarding the commercial reality of collection and products.
  • Plan, manage, and launch seasonal ranges in all markets within agreed timescales and budgets
  • Consider showroom requirements as brand grows, and implement displays, location changes etc as appropriate. Manage the showroom and lookbook campaigns.
  • Oversee timely and accurate forecasting on bookings, sales, and returns
  • Produce regular selling reports during market to feedback relevant data to the Design team and management.
  • Travel extensively to promote brand in key regions and understand brand perception and opportunities
  • Enter high level negotiations with large department stores in strategic locations to ensure wholesale sales targets are met, considering corners, installations as per Sales Plan
  • Oversee Wholesale distribution and logistics, working with production to optimise delivery times.
  • Research and consider regional need for agents and distributors, and develop contacts to implement where appropriate
  • Analyse market trends and ensure industry changes are reflected in the brand's strategy
  • Establish and build high-level profitable business relationships, developing role as 'second' face of the brand, after the Creative Director
  • Develop business network to identify specific new business prospects/partners that support overarching company strategic priorities.
  • Evaluate and execute new business opportunities while working with key internal stakeholders (e.g. marketing, creative, finance, etc.).

Person Specifications:

  • Previous experience at a Luxury fashion house is essential
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain fantastic working relationships
  • Become a brand ambassador
  • Knowledge of production with a commercial eye for construction
