A wonderful opportunity has become available for a strong Assistant Store Manager to join a fantastic brand located in the Birmingham Bull Ring. This role will be perfect for someone with a wealth of experience in coaching and developing their teams, upskilling, and motivating people. A fun, outgoing and caring personality are also vital for this role.

You will be supporting the Store Manager in the effective delivery of the Sales and Profitability Agenda. The Assistant Store Manager works as part of the Management Team, assisting the Store Manager in the efficient overall running and operation of the store. They are responsible for ensuring the growth of profitable sales through achieving and exceeding financial targets and KPIs outlined by the Area Manager. The Assistant Store Manager will be a brand ambassador; endorsing the brand behavioural values to lead, develop and manage an outstanding team who consistently deliver an exceptional customer experience

Main Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Work in partnership with various stakeholders in the business to promote an outstanding customer experience through understanding the employees, their customers, and their community
  • Build and develop a strong rapport with the team conducting daily briefings, 1-1 coaching sessions and presenting regular meetings to develop consistent communication and meet clear objectives/targets
  • Identify and recruit the best talent in the retail market for our business, getting involved with integration and working towards building an inspired, capable, and growing leadership team
  • Assist the Store Manager with all in-store HR related processes, from payroll to employee relations
  • Assist the Store Manager in the analysis of various KPIs, taking appropriate action to achieve set targets on a regular basis and portraying a culture of consistent communication to the UK Head Office Population
  • Attitude to boost additional sales through storytelling and conveying passion
  • Support the Store Manager with the analysis of top sellers; taking measures to maximise on opportunities with product lines
  • Set up, implement, and follow up on regional plans to enhance the 'store image 'with stock and visual merchandising
  • Empower leadership and create a culture of trust within the store, building capability and endorsing the best ways of working
  • Take pride in ownership, setting up, implementing professional sales floor standards
  • Work with the Store Manager to plan resource costs and ensure sustainable finance is adhered to
  • Compliance with legal health and safety procedures, striving for constant successful auditing measures

Person specifications:

  • Minimum of 1-2 years' experience an Assistant Store Manager
  • Minimum 3 years' experience of Retail Sales, proving an ability to succeed with autonomy within specific responsibilities
  • Experience in people management in services and/or retail
  • Willing to endorse the companies values to the highest standard
  • Able to understand, interpret and communicate internal financial results and KPIs
  • Strong ability to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Team spirit in failure as in success
  • Ability to share skills and know-how
  • Passionate, dedicated, and hardworking mannerism with ambition to progress
