ASSISTANT MERCHANDISER

We are currently recruiting for a luxury retail brand who specialise in ladies and men footwear and accessories. This is an amazing opportunity for you to work with a great team, whilst helping you learn more about the fashion industry. This company have a very exciting opportunity for an Assistant Merchandiser to join them in their unique journey. This brand has a well known reputation for superb quality, comfort and effortless style whilst producing timeless pieces. This role would suit a senior allocator looking for their next step in their career.
Main Job Responsibilities:

  • Assisting the Merchandiser by playing a key part in ensuring they maximise their profit opportunity
  • Making sure there is enough product in stores and online
  • Seasonal allocation of new SKU's and daily/weekly replenishment to stores and ecommerce
  • Weekly analysis and reviews of store and e commerce trading performance to identify issues, opportunities and making recommendations to improve sales/stock performance and sell through rates
  • Planning and maintaining store delivery schedules ensuring cost-efficient replenishment and delivery schedules from the Warehouse
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with stores to understand demand and missed sales potential
  • Forecasting sales and stock level to achieve sale plans and margin/profit for the department
  • Creation of seasonal data and maintenance across relevant systems
  • Support the creation of the new season's sales and range plans for your product area/range, working closely with Design to achieve this


Person Requirements:

  • Currently working within the merchandising department
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the confidence to deal with people at all levels
  • Commercial awareness
  • Proven demonstration of analytical skills
  • Experienced with Microsoft Office suite particularly Excel using advanced formulas and Pivot tables for reporting
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • A strong eye for detail
  • Comfortable working within a team to deliver results as well as on your own
