Job description

This role sits within the finance team, supporting the accounts payable function, where you will assist in processing supplier invoices, reconciling payments, and maintaining accurate financial records, making it an excellent opportunity for an ambitious finance professional looking to build their skills and develop their understanding of financial accounting within a dynamic, commercially driven environment.

Main Responsibilities will include:

  • Receiving, verifying, and processing supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner
  • Ensuring invoices are correctly matched to purchase orders
  • Entering invoice details into the accounting system
  • Preparing and processing payments to suppliers, ensuring accuracy and adherence to payment terms
  • Assisting with bank reconciliations
  • Monitoring bank accounts and authorising online payments
  • Maintaining accurate records of invoices, payments, and supplier information
  • Filing and organising financial documents in line with company procedures
  • Assisting with month-end procedures and supporting cash flow reporting
  • Answering queries from suppliers and internal departments in a professional and timely manner
  • Carrying out other reasonable duties as directed by the Accounts Payable Coordinator


Person Specification:

  • Currently studying towards AAT or holds a degree in Finance
  • Minimum of 1-2 years' experience within a finance role in a reputable company
  • Strong numerical skills and a high level of attention to detail
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, with confidence in liaising with suppliers and internal teams
  • Effective problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate and resolve payment discrepancies
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously
  • A collaborative team player with a proactive approach and strong work ethic
  • Enthusiastic, motivated, and eager to develop within a growing finance team
  • Experience within the fashion, lifestyle, or consumer brands sector is desirable but not essential
