Job Description
My client is a leading supplier of Menswear, ladieswear, childrenswear, homeware, and footwear to many of the leading high street retailers predominantly across Europe with a presence in the UK and US. Due to continued growth, they are looking for additional Account Managers to be based in their head office in Dusseldorf. However, German experience is not essential. You must be experienced managing and growing relationships with large retailers on the fashion side. The position requires a highly motivated, commercially aware individual with excellent communication skills.
Main Responsibilities will include:
- Excellent Account management of large high street, high volume clients
- Building excellent relationships with clients
- Ensure product development aligns with internal strategy and customer strategy
- Required to build and maintain good working relationships both within the team and with other teams/departments within the Company in conjunction with design team, and sales director present new product to customers
- Understanding the product and process requirements of each client
- Quick Inquiry handling across multiple product groups and multiple sourcing countries
- Price offer analysis and quotation
- Order placement to local offices
- Order management with local offices
- Delivery management with local offices
- Quality management with local offices
- Re-order and claim management
- Efficient and clear communication with the customer and local offices
Person specification:
- Experience working for a similar high street supplier
- Should have studied garment production technology/textile management or equivalent
- Should have excellent merchandising skills and good knowledge of garment production processes
- Min 5 years' experience in a similar field
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Should have good knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook,
- Should have an affinity to fashion
- Self-motivated, structured, accurate, flexible, and able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Should be able to work in a multi-cultural environment
- Should be able to travel to Asia at short notice
