Job description

We are working with a leading fashion business seeking a commercially focused Account Manager to join their dynamic wholesale team. This is a dual-function role that blends traditional wholesale account management with merchandising responsibilities, offering the opportunity to work closely with major UK retailers across multiple product categories.

This position is ideal for someone with a background in wholesale merchandising who is confident in a customer-facing role and comfortable owning the full trading process from planning through to delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage key retail accounts, leading on seasonal planning, order confirmation, and delivery tracking

  • Present collections to customers, aligning product selection with trading strategy and margin targets

  • Forecast demand and manage held stock positions, identifying risks and trading opportunities

  • Collaborate closely with design, merchandising, and sourcing teams to ensure smooth execution of orders

  • Track performance across accounts, reporting on sales, stock levels, and rebuys

  • Maintain accurate records of costings, order volumes, and delivery status

  • Provide regular trading updates and insight to senior internal stakeholders

  • Clear excess stock through considered, strategic trading discussions with customers

Person Specification:

  • Proven experience in a wholesale merchandising role, ideally within a fast-paced fashion environment

  • Strong commercial mindset with the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities

  • Confident communicator with experience in customer-facing roles and presenting to buyers

  • Excellent analytical and Excel skills, with a detail-oriented approach to forecasting and reporting

  • Able to work cross-functionally and collaboratively to meet deadlines and deliver results
