Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Retail Store Manager to join a lovely premium womenswear brand. The Retail Store Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the brand with the aim to maximize profits and minimize costs. Reporting to the Area Manager, they will need to ensure that all staff members are working towards sales targets and that excellent customer care standards are met at all times. The ideal candidate is approachable, patient, customer focused and flexible.

 

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Driving and achieving daily, weekly and monthly sales targets
  • Writing and controlling monthly staff rotas
  • Submitting weekly paperwork to Head Office
  • Managing, motivating and training employees to increase sales and ensure efficiency
  • Running the shop in accordance with the Company’s standards, policies and procedures
  • Maintaining appropriate stock, receiving deliveries, checking documentation, and displaying and merchandising the items
  • Completing daily stock checks and reporting missing stock items to the Stock Manager
  • Assisting costumer’s with queries and complaints as well as processing transfers, refunds and exchanges
  • Organising and implementing special promotions, displays and planning events
  • Building and maintaining strong customer relationships, whilst keeping all customer contact cards up to date
  • Visiting the Head Office when required.

 

Person specification:

  • Previous experience working at a luxurious retail brand is a plus
  • Experience managing employees
  • Outstanding interpersonal, organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication, written and numerical skills
  • Ability to work on their own initiative
  • Honest, reliable and punctual
  • Attention to detail
  • Team player
  • Love of clothes and fashion

 

What to Expect:

  • Fast paced environment having to react to consumer demands and industry trends, because of this there is an element of pressure
  • Drive to reach required sales goals
  • Must be prepared to deal with a variety of customers
  • Available to work Monday to Sunday with 1 hour’s lunch break (it may be necessary to work overtime during peak hours and when deadlines are close)
