Job Description
Our client is an established premium men's accessories brand that are expanding due to continued success. They are looking for a Product Developer to join their team based in London. The right candidate will have a passion for Men's Luxury Accessories as well as experience working with suppliers and factories based in the Far East and Italy.
Main Responsibilities Will Include:
- Report to the Senior Designer and work closely with MD on development of jewellery collections
- Work closely with factories around the world for development of jewellery product lines
- Follow up on process from sketches to sample stage, managing tight time lines
- Maintain and update all data sheets with accuracy
- Ensure all factories adhere to international compliance standards
- Negotiate with manufacturers to obtain most competitive prices
- Make Sure requests and deliveries are met through the critical path
- Monitor industry trends and evaluate competitors
- Work with the Design team to ensure products are designed cost effectively
- Constantly source for new materials, manufacturing techniques, new suppliers, innovation
- Experience and skills
Person Specifications
- At least 3 years' experience within jewellery/Accessories Product development
- Strong negotiating and problem-solving skills
- Experience dealing with factories in the Far East
- Commercially focused, experience delivering to budget
- Strong understanding of Accessory and jewellery manufacturing
- Be methodical in your approach seeing projects through to completion
- Excellent communication both written and verbal
- Strong team player
- Tenacious, with a willingness to go the extra mile
- Advanced MS Excel
- Excellent training and long-term career development
- Available to travel
