Job Description
We are recruiting a Ladies Knitwear designer for a lovely client of ours. They are a successful , short lead time supplier to most UK retailers including supermarkets, high street brands and online. They are looking for a specialist ladies knitwear designer to work with the knitwear design manager to work on commercial knitwear collections for a varied customer base.
Main duties will include:-
-Designing commercial knitwear ranges to inspire customers and meet customer briefs
-Sample development and creating a showroom for customers
-Colour, trend and market research
-Work to briefs, liaising with and meeting customers
-Liaising with our office and factories in Turkey
- Designing to a price point for value customer base
- Understand technicalities and be able to sell knitted products that are suitable for Turkish production
Person Specification :-
- Able to work to a fast pace
- Great team player
-This role would suit someone with specialist knitwear experience at a mid-level
- Good communication and confident presentation skills.
- Experience of the following is essential:
- Adobe Illustrator
- Adobe Photoshop
- At least 2-3 years experience in a similar role
