Job Description

My client is a stunning fine jewellery designer seeking an Inventory Stock Controller to based in the showroom in the heart of Mayfair. This person will be an integral part of the business managing the movement and safekeeping of all precious inventory. This is a fantastic opportunity to be involved with this unique company and be involved with so many parts of the business. Working closely with the owner, the design team, finance, marketing and retail operations.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Manage all physical inventory movement throughout the business (retail, wholesale and online)
  • Track jewellery with sales team in the salon every day after set-up and before breakdown
  • Manage back stock and ensure that all inventory is displayed on the shop floor
  • Aid sales associates in all client visits/transactions specific to inventory movement
  • Assist in making and returning individual memos/repairs for clients, external PR Company, celebrities and long-term loans
  • Coordinator of outside events/logistics liaison between any partnerships
  • Coordinate and reconcile all physical inventories
  • Responsible for all stock inventory for retail, wholesale and online
  • Monitor and re-order (with production) stock requirements
  • International, domestic and online production coordination and logistics
  • Logistics coordination with security, insurance and shipping for events.
  • Arranges transportation plans for collections including hotel safe deposit when necessary
  • Ensures insurance coverage and security is appropriate for the level of goods.
  • Reports (monthly or upon request)
  • Physical inventory stock take and reconciliation
  • Trunk Show Plan: coordinates all established retail trunk shows as well as those under consideration, covering the current year and the next
  • Event Budget: timeline/schedule and Event Sales logistics

Person specification:

  • Physical inventory control background
  • Experience working within the luxury retail industry and dealing with high-value stock
  • Excellent communication skills
  • PC systems literate
  • Highly organised and detail oriented
  • Able to juggle multiple tasks
