A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a commercial Denim & Woven Designer specialising in womenswear to join an established and successful fashion supplier to major high street retailers to work on several of their key accounts.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing denim and woven garments, with a keen eye for fashion trends and excellent technical skills.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Develop mood boards, colour palettes, and fabric selections to support design concepts.
- Create detailed technical sketches and specifications.
- Design and develop commercial and fashion forward product for range and clients
- Collaborate with the sourcing team to identify and select appropriate fabrics and trims.
- Conduct market research to stay up-to-date with current and emerging fashion trends.
- Attend fabric fairs and inspirational shopping trips.
Person specification:
- Strong knowledge on denim & woven product.
- Commercially savvy with excellent on trend knowledge.
- Confident when attending customer meetings.
- Fully computer literate including Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Enthusiastic and motivated with a desire to contribute to the growth of the business.
