We are partnered with an incredible global manufacturer who supply fashion to the volume retail sector. This is an opportunity to be part of one of their fastest growing divisions, as they evolve into the world of the beauty business developing Bath & Bodycare, Fragrance skincare and gifting. I am seeking a strong Business and product Development Manager experienced in this sector to onboard new retail partners and deliver growth to the business. You will be responsible for liaising with retailers introducing business capabilities and turning product ideas a reality. This role can offer hybrid working
Main Responsibility will include:
- Identifying and onboarding key health, beauty and fragrance account partners within the retail sector with an understanding of volume and high street business
- Managing the retail partnership and experience from initial reach-out through to launch
- Business partnering with 3rd party product development teams, marketing, finance and other business heads.
- Supporting daily operations of new collection launches
- Work with customers on new, innovative products on time, within gross margin targets and at the desired quality level
- You'll be at the heart of working with the customer and product development teams to ensure the best product market fit.
- Build a critical path for each launch with key development milestones and proactively track and manage the adherence to the timelines;
- Regularly update the timelines based on project evolution
- Lead weekly project meetings to closely follow the evolution of each project with the relevant teams, ensuring successful completion of all tasks, and provide agendas and recaps
Person Specification:
- Experience working in the bath and body/ cosmetic sector in a business development, Account Management or Product development role is preferred
- You must be customer-focused and have a deep understanding of our target audience being the volume retail sector.
- You must be passionate about the industry as a whole, bath body fragrance skincare and gifting and have your finger on the pulse of trends and styles.
- You must be creative and innovative, with the ability to anticipate and respond to changing consumer / customer needs and preferences, before they happen.
- Experience business development, launch management or project management within the health and beauty industry with a solid grasp on product development processes.
- Strong planning, numerical and organisational skills, with a great ability to multitask.
