Job Description
We are recruiting an Assistant Design to join a highly reputable global business offering great career progression and growth opportunitites. This role is based in their Central London design studio, where you will work across established premium girlswear brands.
This role would suit a graduate with a relevant degree or someone with some previous design work experience.
Main responsibilities will include:
- To support various teams, including design, production and technical with ideas and trend research.
- Daily communication with the factories
- Prepare showroom for buyers' presentations.
- Maintaining fabric swatch library.
- Conduct research on current and future trends by a collection of different sources to identify newness.
- Organise lab dips and strike off approvals.
- Assist in fit sessions.
- Required to work on look books.
- Chasing samples from factories and keeping the fabric library up to date.
- Send out sample swatch packs to buyers and factories.
- Building on your fabric knowledge, developing the fabric catalogue, and sourcing trims.
Person Specification:
- Fashion design graduate or some previous work experience in similar role.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Good organisational and planning skills and ability to multitask.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to tight deadlines.
- Friendly, positive team player who is eager to progress within the fashion industry.
