Job Description

Our client, a successful leading retailer, has an exciting new opportunity and is looking for an experienced marketier. 

Leading the Marketing, PR and Creative teams, you will be responsible for the strategy to bring the product to life in stores and online. This is an exciting role which will see you defining strategy, driving the commercial performance of the business, supporting internal teams to deliver at their best and taking overall accountability for the brand's presence. This role offers autonomy and the opportunity to progress your career further. 


Main responsibilities will include:

  • Take full ownership for the brands creative strategy and implementation of schemes across the store network and online
  • Work with other Heads across the business to ensure opportunities are maximised
  • Create and deliver a promotional calendar to maximise seasonal and calendar event opportunities Key to the strategy will be aligning buying, logistics and retail stores functions across the brand to ensure the efficiency of the end to end process
  • Enhance and develop an effective external PR and communications strategy to drive brand awareness of stores & the online platform across the UK
  • Create and deliver an effective strategy of building footfall to stores
  • Drive customer and team awareness of company loyalty scheme making this central to data capture for future campaigns and business focus
  • Take accountability for all budgets connected to the marketing function and deliver spend in line with these
  • Motivate all members of the Marketing function to deliver at their best and promote a winning culture throughout the business

 

Personal requirements:

  • Previous experience at a senior level within a reputable retail business
  • Experience of managing budgets and demonstrate evidence of delivery against these
  • Previous experience of managing a team
  • Able to demonstrate a breadth of marketing experience gained within a commercial sector
  • Have a high level of attention to detail and passionate about the brand
  • Great communication skills at all level
  • Passionate about developing people and teams
  • Ability to think outside the box and come up with creative solutions and creative ideas for future campaigns
  • Evidence of previous ideas and campaigns that have delivered a commercial gain
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication
  • A detail-orientated mind-set
