Job Description

A great new opportunity has a arisen for my client, who are a leading homewares retailer with nearly 100 stores in Greater London and South East England. They are looking to appoint a Field HR Advisor, who has a strong background in either Retail or Hospitality HR, with multisite experience and a good knowledge of all ER issues.

These roles would suit either an HR Advisor looking for their next career move or an existing Store HR advisor or HR business Partner looking for a company that can give them autonomy and full support.

This is a 10 Month Fixed Term Contract

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Responsible for the delivery of a commercially focussed HR service to retail operations
  • Champion the business employee brand to enable the successful attraction and retention of colleagues
  • Responsible for having the right people in the right place at the right time in the allocated districts, effectively managing time to recruit, reducing labour turnover and cost of hire
  • Help to identify management development needs and ensure that they are effectively communicated and built in to the business's development plans
  • Help to identify Learning and Development needs and ensure they are effectively communicated and built in to the business's plans
  • Responsible for the consistent delivery of agreed performance management processes in the designated functions and stores
  • Ensure that employee data is "right first time, every time" within the legal requirements and in line with the new GDPR legislation
  • Coach and support managers in allocated divisions

Person requirements:

  • Proven multi-site as an HRBP or Advisor in a fast-moving customer facing business
  • Able to provide clear and concise advice and guidance to line managers
  • Proven ability to advise, coach and encourage a team of managers
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise, organise, and report back accurately and concisely
  • Self-confident and mature individual, able to establish and sustain strong working relationships with line managers and HR colleagues
  • Adaptable and pragmatic but able to "put their case" on a point of law or principle when required
  • High levels of energy and enthusiasm, but able to remain calm and focussed in a pressurised situation
  • Highly confidential, resourceful and resilient
  • Clean UK driving licence
