Job description

A leading fashion brand is seeking an experienced Print Textile Designer to join its creative team. This role is instrumental in developing visually compelling, trend-driven prints and graphics that align with the brand's aesthetic and commercial direction.

Working collaboratively with Design and Buying teams, the successful candidate will interpret global trends into elevated, production-ready artwork for womenswear collections.

Based in Australia this role offers sponsorship and a strong relocation package.

Main Responsibilities will include:

  • Research seasonal trends and develop inspirational trend and concept boards

  • Present innovative ideas and apply research into commercially relevant print and graphic artwork

  • Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure artwork aligns with brand direction and customer appeal

  • Develop original print and graphic concepts from initial idea through to final production

  • Prepare production-ready artwork including seamless repeats, accurate scaling, and colour specifications

  • Create technically accurate embroidery and placement artworks suitable for manufacturing requirements

  • Manage print layouts, repeat patterns, and graded artworks across various product categories

  • Utilise Adobe Creative Suite to recolour, scale, repeat, and prepare technical artwork files

  • Identify potential production or technical issues early in the development process

  • Review strike-offs and communicate clear feedback to suppliers and manufacturers

  • Liaise with design teams to clarify briefs, expectations, and delivery timelines

Person Specifications:

  • Qualification in Textile Design, Fashion Design, Graphic Design, or a related discipline

  • Strong technical knowledge of both screen and digital textile printing across various fabric bases

  • Experience working with overseas suppliers and understanding factory production capabilities and limitations

  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign

  • Demonstrated experience designing prints and graphics for womenswear collections

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced fashion environment with strong attention to detail

  • Excellent communication, organisation, and stakeholder management skills

  • Strong understanding of both local and international fashion retail markets
