We are partnering with a well-established and highly respected fashion supplier that works with a broad portfolio of leading high-street and retail customers. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Freelance Sock Designer to support the design team on a part-time basis, working two days per week.

This is an exciting opportunity for a creative and commercially minded designer with strong experience across men's, women's and children's socks. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing trend-led, customer-focused collections while working closely with internal teams and retail partners.

Main Responsibilities Will Include:

* Designing commercially relevant sock collections across menswear, womenswear and childrenswear categories.
* Researching and interpreting seasonal trends, colours, graphics, patterns and new product innovations.
* Creating customer-focused design presentations tailored to individual retailer requirements.
* Producing detailed CADs, technical packs and artwork specifications for supplier and factory use.
* Working closely with customers to understand briefs and present design concepts.
* Monitoring competitor activity and market trends to identify new opportunities within the category.

Person Specification:

* Proven experience designing socks within a supplier, retailer or fashion brand environment.
* Strong understanding of sock construction, yarns, techniques and manufacturing processes.
* Experience designing across menswear, womenswear and childrenswear product categories.
* Excellent CAD and Adobe Creative Suite skills, particularly Illustrator and Photoshop.
* Strong commercial awareness with the ability to translate trends into sellable product.
