We are recruiting for a Buyer to join a global, pop culture-led consumer products business known for designing, developing, and distributing licensed product.
Based in London, you will be responsible for shaping and delivering a compelling product assortment across global direct-to-consumer e-commerce platforms. It is a commercially driven, product-led position that combines product development, buying, merchandising, and strategic planning to create an engaging customer experience and drive business performance.
The role requires a strong understanding of IP and licensing, with the ability to influence and drive an exclusive product strategy.
This role offers hybrid working, 1-2 days in the office.
Main Responsibilities Will Include:
Lead product selection and development for exclusive items in collaboration with cross-functional teams including Product Development, Licensing, and Creative.
Drive the exclusive product strategy, identifying opportunities to differentiate the assortment through unique and compelling offerings.
Build and execute monthly buy plans, balancing exclusive development with core product ranges aligned to category and audience needs.
Identify and leverage new and emerging IP, working closely with Licensing teams to expand product opportunities.
Influence global product line plans through trend insights, performance data, and customer behaviour.
Demonstrate strong knowledge of IP and licensing frameworks, ensuring all product strategies align with licensing agreements and brand objectives.
Own product lifecycle management, ensuring strong full-price sell-through and effective inventory control.
Analyse sales performance and forecasting data to drive informed, commercial decision making.
Develop and implement global promotional strategies aligned with trading objectives.
Plan and manage product launches and key trading moments across platforms.
Oversee pricing and markdown strategies to optimise revenue and inventory health.
Person Specification
Strong experience in e-commerce buying or merchandising within a retail or consumer-focused environment.
Ideally have knowledge of IP and licensing, with the ability to apply this commercially and strategically.
Proven ability to drive product strategy, including exclusive and differentiated product ranges.
Highly analytical with strong Excel skills and the ability to interpret data to support decision making.
Confident in driving decisions and influencing stakeholders across multiple functions.
Passionate about product, trends, and consumer engagement.
Strong team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
